That’s The Issue! Episode 4 We Can Never Go Home Feat Nikki Sherman

That’s The Issue! Episode 4 We Can Never Go Home Feat Nikki Sherman! The best way to get to know someone is through the things that they love. Each episode me and my friend Wes Messer will be talking with a guest about a specific comic book that’s important to them; could be the first they read or the first they loved; the one they always go back to or the one that makes them laugh, or cry – or all of the above! For whatever reason, if that book is important to them, That’s The Issue we want to talk about!

This episode we’re joined by official friend of the show Nikki Sherman; colorist, artist, writer, and contributor for! Our conversation is cut woefully short due to technical difficulties, however for the time we do have we talk about the craze taking over the world that is Pokemon Go and the swarms of Pidgeys that plague our planet.

Listen to us review some current comics:

Black Hammer and Weird Detective from Dark Horse, and Plutona from Image Comics. We also praise the quality of our Lord, Sponsor (not really) and frequent listener (again, probably false) Jeff Lemire (Hi Jeff!)! There’s also a peek behind the curtain and a discussion about professionalism in podcasts – specifically our own – as well as looking at what limited SDCC news we had available to us at time of recording.

Before we get rudely cut off we discuss Nikki’s book of choice – We Can Never Go Home, from Black Mask Studios. A fascinating 5 issue mini series about having super powers and getting into all sorts of trouble. Listen to the show to hear our thoughts!
